Meet Reagan!  I just love this guy!!  He’s so fun and just has the best smile, am I right?!?!?

Besides being a total track star  – which has taken him to state – Reagan can also do the wave with his stomach and ride a unicycle!  He and I are also kindred spirits in our love for U2 and milk.  You won’t find Reagan without a movie ticket in his wallet and he absolutely can’t live without his dogs, movies, and music.

If you attended a football game last fall, you’ll probably recognize this guy as one of the crazies in the yellow and black overalls.  He has a natural ability to get along with everyone and really get a crowd excited!  He’s really excited about getting close to his friends during his senior year and after graduation, he plans to attend college and keep on running!

Ultimately, Reagan is a down to earth, funny, sweet guy who really just wants to be just like his dad when he “grows up”.

Reagan is modeling a great casual look for a senior guy session.  He’s comfortable yet classy a great way to keep it chill without slummin’ it.  You’ll be seeing a lot more of all our models as we continue to introduce them and have tons of fun with both modeling portrait sessions and all of our other models only activities this next school year!

Meet Maci!  Although I’ve known her family for years, I first got to know Maci while traipsing around Fort Worth with her big brother Chandler for his senior portraits!  I’m excited beyond words to now have Maci as part of our model team!

Maci is another one of our spectacularly talented athletes.  Along with basketball, Maci likes to golf, travel, and of course spend some quality time with Netflix.  She also has a talent that I quite envy – she could sleep for 20 hours straight!!  So jealous…

But seriously, this sour patch kids candy addict is going places.  She dreams of playing college basketball and maybe singing a duet with one of her favorite celebs, Blake Shelton.  In her spare time she hopes to find herself hanging out on the beach, drinking Dr. Pepper with her headphones on, jamming to her favorite song, Too Many.

Meet Rachel!!

If Rachel looks familiar to you, you might recognize her from such things as her role as Alice in he most Epic Themed photoshoot ever.  Rachel was so kind as to represent our teen models last year and now is one of our senior models and I’m so excited to have her back as part of the team again!

Rachel is a cross country runner at GHS and is quite talented as she has been to regionals!  She also enjoys playing tennis and running track as well as belting out the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody.

But it’s not all fun and games with this girl, she plans on attending Texas A&M and becoming a livestock vet.  So, watch out world for this cool chick who always has Nike’s in her closet and some kind of food in her purse!  She’s going to make some waves!

Meet Allie!  I had THE best time photographing Allie’s Big Sis McKenzie so I knew Allie was a MUST have for our model team this year.  I was so excited when she joined us.  I mean, seriously, how cute is this girl!!

Allie is more than just a pretty face though, she’s a serious brain too.  She’s a member of the Exchangette’s at CHS and a memeber of the National Honor Society.  Go girl!!  Allie has had a brush with the starts as well, she met one of her favorite celebs, Kylie Jenner and was able to check that off her bucket list.

If you want to hang out with Allie, you better bring some coffee and pie because those are some of her most favorite things, and you will never find her without lipstick in her purse – I mean that’s just a given.

Meet Natalie!  I first met this cutie a few years ago when we hung out with her big brother, David for his senior portraits and I have had the privilege of getting to know her and her family since then – and I’m not kidding when I say her dad makes the best fajitas EVER!!

I was over the moon when we snagged Natalie as part of our model team and I’m so happy to Introduce her to you!  OH and yesterday was her Biiiiiirrthhhdaaay!!

Natalie and I are kindred spirits in our love for sweet tea and dark chocolate truffles.  She is such a fun and creative person which goes perfectly with her dream job of having her own remodeling show on the DIY Network (also one of my favs!).  If you’re looking for Natalie in a crowd she’ll be easy to spot in her signature color of neon coral and you can bet she will be the one practicing her cheer stunts.

But Natalie isn’t all fun and games, she’s a serious brain too – she’s in the top 2% of her class and plans to go straight to college after graduation.

Meet Joley – Or JoJo as her friends and family call her!

Joley is a ray of sunshine on a rainy day and I’m just so happy to have her as party of our model team!

Joley is an easy going fun loving girl who just cant live without three things – her family, her friends, and chocolate milk (I hear you on that one!).  If you’re hanging out with Joley, you’re probably on the water wake-boarding or on the football field cheering for the Yellow Jackets.  Oh and if you need it, she’s ALWAYS got Chapstick in her bag.

Along with white sandy beaches, Joley dreams of becoming a pediatric dermatologist after she graduates from Texas A&M.  This girl is going places and I’m so glad she stopped in to hang out with us on her way!

Meet Michael!  This guy is a fierce competitor on the track and is working hard to become a pro motorcross racer one day.

Besides being an awesome racer, Michael has the unusual talent of being able to play Guitar Hero left handed with the guitar upside down!  I foresee some youtube videos of this talent in his future!

While he’s sipping on some Southern Sweet tea and popping some Milk Duds, Michael enjoys hanging out with his friends playing video games, racing, and playing guitar.  Although he wishes he were better at golf, I think he has quite enough talents to really make a difference!

Wish him luck as he heads to the State competition for SkillsUSA!  We are so glad to Michael on our team!

I’m so excited to be able to spend the next couple of weeks introducing you to our 2016 Senior Model Team!

This year we adopted a new program allowing even more models than ever to participate in our exclusive modeling opportunity and I just can’t even believe the gorgeous girls and guys we have on our team.  We have so much fun planned for our team I almost can’t contain it  – But I’ve got some amazing images to share with you of our first model, Hannah, that will help me keep myself together!

Meet Hannah!

Hannah is a junior this year who loves to munch on Hershey Bars and Sprite while surfing jane.com and jamming to her favorite band, Skillet, in her free time.  She’s planning a career in sports medicine maybe in some place awesome like Venice.

Hannah has already accomplished some pretty amazing things – she’s on THREE varsity sports teams at GHS and she’s active in her church choir.  Hannah can’t wait most of all for all the memories she’s going to make next year as a senior and I am so excited to have this beauty on our modeling team!

My version of Transformation Thursday | Cleburne, Burleson, Granbury Senior Photographer

As a professional photographer, I belong to a lot – I mean a LOOOOT – of online forums, social media groups, and email newsletter lists as part of my own professional development. A lot of discussion takes place about the value of Photoshop. I thought I’d weigh in here with my own personal take on Transformation Thursday.

When I first started calling myself a “photographer” I’ll be totally honest and say that Photoshop and I were in a passionate love/hate relationship. I took bad photos and expected Photoshop to save them. As with any relationship, the unbalanced expectations caused a riff in our love affair. Something had to give – either Photoshop needed to get it’s act together and start performing miracles or I had to learn to use my camera. Obviously, I went with the latter option or we would have ended up visiting Photog Divorce Court!

I am in no way the end-all-be-all of photographers but I will tell you that learning to properly use my camera and understand the way that light works has saved my sanity and renewed my relationship with Photoshop. We are friends again, we are taking it slow and just getting to know each other right now.

I know now that Photoshop should be used to simply enhance the beauty that is already the portrait. Now some photos take a little more time than others when I see a pesky tree or street sign I want to make disappear (I can totally make them swim with the fishes!); but on average I don’t have to spend 15, 20 or even 30 minutes on saving a bad photo and I can now reach my goal of delivering finished images to present to my clients in two weeks or less.

This particular image (SOOC meaning Straight Out Of the Camera) was from a recent shoot with a senior godess from Godley High School & a senior model for EI this year. I’ll be honest and tell you that the hardest part of her session was trying to decide which images to show since it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to take a bad shot!

Technical Stuf….
Taken at about 6:20 pm the light was just perfect. We were also inside an old barn which caused a really nice diffused softness of the light. This was shot with my Nikon D600, with a 50mm lens; f1.8, ISO 400; 1/400thsec. I also modified the light with a circular silver reflector.

I’ll be revealing more of her stunning session next week after her Premiere Ordering Session!

$390 is due at the time of booking to cover your session and $75 is due to the stylists at the time of your session. You’ll receive a link to view and choose your images within 10 days of your session. We will happily send one image to the yearbook editor if you would like as well. Additional digital images are available for purchase at our standard rate of $75 each.
