Meet Joley – Or JoJo as her friends and family call her!

Joley is a ray of sunshine on a rainy day and I’m just so happy to have her as party of our model team!

Joley is an easy going fun loving girl who just cant live without three things – her family, her friends, and chocolate milk (I hear you on that one!).  If you’re hanging out with Joley, you’re probably on the water wake-boarding or on the football field cheering for the Yellow Jackets.  Oh and if you need it, she’s ALWAYS got Chapstick in her bag.

Along with white sandy beaches, Joley dreams of becoming a pediatric dermatologist after she graduates from Texas A&M.  This girl is going places and I’m so glad she stopped in to hang out with us on her way!

Courtney | Godley High School Senior Photographer

I adored spending the day with Courtney and her mom last month when we got together to shoot her senior portraits.  Her shoot was a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll.  Downtown Cleburne provided the perfect backdrop for this adorable senior.  Both in cute cowboy boots and in her knock out fuchsia print prom dress, Courtney was absolutely stunning and completely lit up the camera when she smiled!  Courtney looked amazing all dressed up, but I could tell she was totally in her element when it was time to break out the volleyball.   She truly is a light in the darkness and I loved capturing not only her outer beauty, but the gorgeous glow of her sweet spirit!

What to Wear Wednesday | Evangeline Images Cleburne, Joshua, Burleson Family Portrait Photographer

Go with Green!

I’ve decided to start a new trend for my blog.  What-to-wear-Wednesdays!  I always chat with my clients either in person or on the phone or at the very least through email/text about the wardrobe choices.  I think two of the most important “props” in your photos – besides you and your family, of course – are the location and your clothes!  If those two don’t really go together, you’ve just got a hot mess!  Maybe not even a hot mess…just a mess.

This color scheme is one of my all time favorites!  I just adore the rich kelly green paired with any shade of blue but especially navy blue.  There’s something SOOO pleasing to the eye about this combination.  And green is totally the new black right now!  (channelling my inner fashionista).

I could see this family posing on a dock by the lake, walking down a quaint country lane, or even hanging out in a cute downtown cafe.  I love the versatility of these colors and how you can dress them up or keep them casual.

Besides being really cute – these are colors that are easily matched in so many possible combinations.  Sweaters, cardigans, shorts, dresses, pants, skirts, tops, shoes, bow ties!  Any of these clothing items in any of these colors will just look amazing!

As my kids say – it’s easy cheesy lemon squeezy.

Briana’s Senior Session | SW Fort Worth Senior Photographer

When I met Briana, I could tell instantly she was a deep thoughtful person with a sweet heart and quiet spirit.  After our consultation we decided to give a morning session a shot.  In the boiling heat of Texas summer’s, the morning seemed like a cool option!  As with all of Evangeline Images senior sessions, we started her hair and make up style about two hours before the session, which in this case was about 6 am!!

Wow is that early on a Saturday!!!  But Briana and her mom was super friendly even in the wee hours of the morn and Bri looked and felt AAHHH-mazing!

We trapsed through the local park for a while and discovered that, in fact, mornings are NOT much cooler; but Bri pulled it off like a pro and posed her little heart out.    A super special moment I’ll always remember is capturing portraits of Bri in her step-dad’s work shirt.  It was such a tender moment as Bri and her mom paid tribute to a very special person who left them much too soon.  I know that he would be proud of the beautiful and sweet young lady Briana is.

Following our country chic location was a quick visit to downtown Cleburne, where I’m always amazed by the new and interesting places we find to capture great portraits!  The morning light gave us opportunities to shoot in places where evening light didn’t allow and once again, Bri was awesome and smiled right through all the posing instructions.   She made each pose look effortless and natural!

Our session was finally wrapped up this week with Bri’s premiere ordering session where her mom and grandma were so amazingly sweet and I even got to hang out with her adorable little cousin.  He had the cutest little laugh!

I just have to share some of our favorites from this experimental morning session!  And as always, I’m so blessed to be able to do what I love!

Meet Crystal, the genius behind the fabulous glamour make up for EI’s senior ladies!

Crystal Kelso Claiborne, a licensed aesthetician, is one of the newest members of the EI team.  Crystal has over 12 years of experience in the beauty industry and has worked with well known beauty and glamor lines such as La Vue, Ulta, and Lisa Ard.

Crystal has lived in the Cleburne, Texas area since she was about 8 years old and discovered her love of beauty and glamour through art as a young child.   Paired with her passion for nurturing people getting her license as an aesthetician came naturally.

Aside from her talent as an artist, Crystal has a true gift for helping her clients see the true beauty inside themselves.  She has a calm and endearing manner which translates to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Along with an awesome experience in the stylist chair, our seniors walk away feeling like a total glam fashion model and with Crystal’s many years of experience in all things beauty, they also benefit from her knowledge of skin care and skin health.

We are SOOOO excited to have such a valuable asset on the EI team and our clients are so amazingly lucky to have such a caring, compassionate, and experienced professional to help create the ultimate luxury portrait experience.
